Panic attack is a sudden feeling of intense physical and psychological symptoms. There are a number of panic attack symptoms and one of them could be feeling of terror or frightening. This can happen suddenly without any warning. Sooner or later we all go through it and it could be for any reason. But this is not something that can’t be cured. It can be cured the sooner you find a specialist you can help you with it, the better. With better treatment, you can either eliminate or reduce the symptoms or chances or panic and have more control over your life again.

Better Understanding of Panic Attack

A panic attack can occur any time even when you are sleeping. The person who is going through this believes that he is either dying, going crazy or having some other very serious problem like heart attack. But the question here is how long does panic attacks last?

The answer to the question is that there is no specific time limitation sometimes it lasts for about 5 to 20 minutes and sometimes it lasts for up to an hour. What can you do about it?

No doubt that panic attacks are very frightening and as we have discussed earlier that timing is different for different people. You can’t judge as you may experience it weekly, monthly or even just once and may never experience it again.

If you think your pain is continuous and getting worse, then it’s highly recommended that you see your GP immediately as it may or may not be serious. Sometimes it can get worse and cause stroke because of atrial fibrillation.
